Free Downlaods for calendars
So I was online looking for SOMETHING (anything) to print off, so I could have some type of calendar/planner. I had troubles finding something I liked at the stores (half because it's almost the middle of the year, so all the good calendars/planners are gone). And I stumbled on this website. I liked it and thought I'd share.
You can print off FREE week at a glance pages, to do pages, menu and shopping pages...ect.
It's called mommytracked.com. There is more there than just the pages to download and print off on the website.
so happy searching

Science at home
With the things that kids, these days, are dealing with (like kindergarteners saying who's hot and who's not, or preschoolers dropping the F bomb....etc the list goes on, but you get the idea), and trying to grow up WAY TOO EARLY, I have desided I want to educate my children at home. At least until I can not provide the scoial resorses that they need (ie high school is usually when they REALLY /need this. I think most people can agree that midleschool is one of those times of their life, they'd rather not dwell too much on.)
SO- with that being said, I will always search for websites to help me make the most of educating my kids, in ways that stimulate their LOVE OF LEARNING.
This post
I found a site that gives a list of science experiments that you can do at home. The home page sciencebob.com explains more of who "BOB" is and what the site has to offer!
This spring....well lets just say...where I'm located, we haven't trul seen spring yet..... and being stuck indoors has put me online searching for things to do inside. I Warn you, Do Not assume that your child is too young or too old, if you do your child will miss out on a lot of fun and learning!
Happy experimenting

a site to keep educating yourself
Here is a web site (API) that has a lot of information. Another one that you wont be able to get all the information in one sitting. It is a non-profit organization with a mission to educate and support all parents, called Attachment Parenting International (API). They say the essence of what they are about is forming and nurturing strong connections between parents and their children. I have only begun to read what is in the site, but it looks like I have only scratched the surface. You can join or start a support group, and join to become a member.
What I liked about it is all the information that they give and also back it up with other links to sites that support what they are teaching. Deffinately something to take a look at.

Recycle things you don't need
Here is a link for a way to recycle your unwanted things. It's also a place that you can get things that can help you out. It's called freecycle. There are certain etiquette's that you need to follow, and it differs between cities and groups.
*Once you go to the link you will then type in a city that you are in.
*Then choose the correct city in the search results
*From there on you will have to sign up or apply to be in the group.
My understanding is that you do need a gmail or yahoo account.
*from there on you will have to check your email
When I first heard about this site I didn't really understand it. But once i ventured in and figured it out, I now love it! I was able to give away some things that I didn't need any more, and also received some cloth diapers.
Most city groups like to make sure that they people in the group are actually in the area, so they may ask for some kind of info to verify that. Like always make sure you practice safe internet habits. I know some people that have a seprate email for these kinds of things.

A Cook Book for the whole family
For this post I would like to tell you about this cook book I found.
I have been looking for things to feed my growing toddler. She loves to feed her self. But when I would look at the isles of the baby sections, I would stand there not wanting to buy much of what I saw. I want my child to want to try new things and eat healthy, and love the taste of healthy. So I started looking for cook books that would help me start my journey. Then one day at the library my mom and I found this book. I took it home and after making a few of the recipes I HAD to go and buy it! I loved the food, and my toddler loved it too! AND BETTER YET IT WAS HEALTHY!!!!! BINGO instant fan!
to check out this book here is the link.
The start of something new
This is the start of something new. (well at least for me and my followers)
I have found that I love to look for advice, and information on raising healthy families. I will listen to what is offered and then (of course) filter out what I do or don't like about what I have been told. Then I will do my own homework, and see what fits me and my family best. I encourage everyone to do the same. But I also wanted to have a spot where my friends and family (and their friends and family) could see what I have found, and then pass on the information.
To start off this Blog I want to share a fabulous website that my mom found.
It is so packed with information, that I promise that you will not have time to read it in one sitting.
You can download and print FREE infant stimulation cards, and FREE power-points to help educate your children.
